Privacy Policy

The Four Golden Rules:

1.  We don’t sell the information we collect from our customers.
2.  We only request the information we need to provide our customers with the
      products and services they request.
3.  We respect our customers privacy when we market products and services.
     This means they decide when and what to participate in.
4.  We never divulge customer information supplied by credit agencies, Credit Bureaus.

Purpose:
This Privacy Policy outlines the principles and practices we will follow regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in our possession.  Our privacy commitment includes ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of personal information in our possession, and allowing our customers to request access to, and correction of, their personal information. 

Personal Information:
Your personal information is any information, whether in writing or any other form, about you, the customer, as an identifiable individual.  It includes your age, gender, date of birth, information about your income and the like.  It does not include your contact information or information that it publicly available.

Collection or Use of Personal Information:
We only collect as much personal information as is reasonably necessary for our purposes.  Except as where permitted or required by law. 

We will obtain your knowledge and consent to collect your personal information, except as where permitted or required by law to collect or use personal information without your knowledge or consent. 

The personal information voluntarily requested from you, the customer, is collected and used to establish credit, identification, provide you the products and services you request, provide you with important updates and reminders, protect you and/or morEnergy™ from fraud, collect debts owing to morEnergy™, and/or to comply with the law. We may also collect personal information from third party sources, such as credit bureau agencies, used to verify the information you provide to us and to determine the credit limit for you, the customer. We will ensure appropriate measures will be taken to comply with the Personal Information Protection Act (“PIPA”).

We will always ask you, directly or through our authorized dealer, for your permission to request a credit report from a credit-reporting agency.

Disclosure of Personal Information:
We may from time to time provide the credit bureau with credit information on our customers who have loans outstanding with us. We do this to ensure that reliable credit information is available to other credit granting companies you may choose to do business with. 

We do not sell your personal information without notice and consent from you, the customer.
Accountability:

Any problems arising from the use of personal information shall be the responsibility of the President and will be dealt with accordingly. However, others may act on behalf of the President in an effort to expedite resolutions for customer issues or concerns. Any problems arising from the use of personal information shall be directed to the Privacy Officer. If the matter is not addressed by the Privacy Officer it may be directed to the President who is committed to resolving customer issues or concerns.

Accessing Personal Information:
You have a right to access your personal information in the possession or control of morEnergy™, to know how that personal information has been and is being used, and to whom it has been disclosed, subject to limited exceptions.

All requests for access to personal information must be made in writing to the Privacy Officer, and or the President.  All requests should have sufficient detail that allows us to identify you and the personal information you are requesting.  There may be a minimal fee for providing the personal information requested, which we notify you of in advance.

We unfortunately can not provide our customers with credit bureau files but can assist customers in accessing this information from the Bureau. 

Accuracy:
We will endeavor to provide and maintain information that is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. We will work to ensure that any information that is not accurate is corrected quickly and that all information is secured to those employees authorized to use it. 

You may request that your personal information be corrected.  All requests for correction of personal information must be made in writing to the Privacy Officer, and or President, and provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information and the correction being sought.

Limits to the Keeping of Personal Information:
Customer information may be maintained indefinitely to meet legal or business requirements. Once the information is no longer required it will be destroyed in a reasonably secure manner that protects our customer privacy.

Safeguarding:
Appropriate safeguards will be in place to ensure that all personal information is appropriately secured.

Safeguarding procedures include requiring all employees having access to the information to sign this Privacy Policy and securing access through the use of system passwords to authorized employees only. 

Laws and Regulations:
Personal information will not be transferred to any party outside of Canada and therefore will be protected by Canadian laws and regulations.

Policy Changes:
We may, from time to time, add, change, or enhance this policy as required.  Last revised November 19th, 2010.
